Thank Yee, Lisa Yee
Sooooooo-wwweeeeeeet!
That's me, a humble finalist winner out of the thousands of entries in the Lisa Yee Bodacious Title Contest:
The rule was to take a title of a children's book, change 2 letters of the title to form a new title, and blurb the re-invented book.
This entry (mine) took a coveted finalist spot:
Original Title: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
Revised Title: The Furious Incident of the Hog in the Night-Time
Blurb: An angry young man tries to put lipstick on a disgruntled pig
I don't mind the old adage "Always a Finalist, Never The Bride" (well, not this time and not against this competition). Thanks for letting us play, Lisa! Thanks to uber-talented judges Adam Rex and Mark Teague for making me a legitimate woman today.
You know, you can put a finalist tag on an entry but it's still just a finalist. Hmm. Hands off, Palin. I'm saving THAT one for the 2012 campaign!
